I grew my side hobby Etsy shop from a $200 investment to a product business to multi 6 figures in revenue while I worked full-time jobs in design and marketing.

I’ve turned my passion project into a profitable small business with limited time and budget, and I’d love to help you do the same. 

My small business journey

2012

Etsy shop open. A friend was my first "sale", but my first “real” sale came months later.

2014

Created a cohesive brand look instead of a scattered collection of designs. Set up Facebook page & Instagram and began (light) marketing efforts beyond Etsy organic search.

2015

Expanded revenue streams outside of Etsy to include wholesale, craft fairs, and my own e-commerce website on Weebly. Attended a ton of craft fairs.

2017

Realized A Jar of Pickles might actually be kind of a legit thing and put it on my resume (a great personal significance!)

2018

Joined Faire Wholesale (then Indigo Faire) and streamlined wholesale ordering process.

2019

Very focused on my corporate career— transitioned from UX Designer to Brand Marketing. Pickles was just coasting.

2020

Took a 3 month corporate career break: converted garage into studio, started experimenting with IG story Marketing, saw 1088% YOY growth. Began to offer Coaching Calls and shared small business tips. Launched our first "we can't keep this in stock" product.

2021

Launched our first "large" product that changed the ops of our inventory and fulfillment process. Hired our first Studio Order Fulfillment Associate in preparation for my maternity leave.

2022

Made the difficult decision to leave my corporate job and take Pickles full-time. Hired a Studio Manager. Had our first team meeting. Hired a Design Associate. Taught two rounds of our first LWP Program.
